考试利器

 

1.自我测试
 

 首先你得先测测自己当前的阅读速度，这个你可以用一个简单的公式来搞定。一只手拿着计时器，另一只手拿着阅读材料，一边阅读以一边计时。当你读完了材料，把所用的总分钟数乘以60得到所用的总秒数。接下来，用刚刚所阅读的总字数除以总秒数。把得到的结果取整，你就得到了你每秒钟的阅读速读；如果再乘以60，就得到了自己每分钟的阅读速度。

 

Start by testing your current reading rate. This is done through a simple formula. Use a timer with a second hand to read a piece of material. Once you have completed the reading and have your time, take the whole number and multiply it by 60. Next, divide the total seconds into the number of words read. Round this number and you have your words per second total; multiply that number by 60 and there you have your words per minute total.

 

2.浏览
 

并不是每个词都需要去理解的，因此，练习一组词一组词地阅读。忽略冠词（如the,a,）以及诸如"or"等词。把注意力集中在那些动词上。练习以意群或“块”为单位来浏览文章。

   

Not every word is important to understanding, so train your eyes to read groups of words. Ignore articles and words like, "the", "a", and, "or". Focus on the action words or verbs. Practice quickly scanning groups or chunks of words.
 

 3.默读
 

你是不是经常轻声地把读的东西念出来呢？不要紧，不仅是你这样，几乎每个人都有或者有过这个习惯。但是如果你想提高阅读速读，那我强烈建议你闭上嘴默读，以便精神更集中。
 
You probably often quietly pronounce every word you read. Don't worry, you're not alone…almost everyone does it or did it. But if you want to read faster, it is strongly advised that you concentrate by keeping your mouth shut.

 

4.用手辅助
 

首先伸出食指指着你读的地方，并随着阅读逐行移动。当读到一行末尾时，把食指抬高半英寸然后快速地移到下一行。尽管老师告诉过你不要这样阅读，但这这会帮助你集中注意力。

   

Start by pointing your index finger and running it along each line of text. When your finger comes to the end of a line pick up your finger half an inch then quickly bring it back down to the next line. Even if your teachers told you NOT to read like this, it will keep you focused.

 

5. 避免复读
 

复读是指你又回头看你读过的文字。要改这个习惯，只要拿张纸出来，把刚读过的部分用纸盖住。笔也是防止眼睛向回看的好工具哦。

   

Regression is when you go back and read a line you've already read. To break this habit, simply take a piece of paper and drag it down over the page as you read, covering each line you've just read. Pens are also great tools to train your eyes not to look back.
 

6.熟能生巧
 

速读不像骑自行车：你需要练习，需要不断的练习，否则你就会又回到最初学习阅读时养成的习惯了。常为自己的阅读计时，看看自己有多大提高。

   

Speed reading is not like riding a bike; you need to practice, otherwise you will go back to the habits you developed when you first learned to read. Time yourself often to see what your improvements are.
